September 21 - Central Park

Relatively quiet morning for my Wednesday AMNH bird walk. There were a few highlights: a female Northern Pintail on Turtle Pond was an uncommon find in the Park.

Unfortunately I was the only one in the group to catch a glimpse of a Common Raven as it disappeared to the east over the Great Lawn. However, I think everyone got at least a quick view of the Rose-breasted Grosbeak by the Belvedere Castle. Other finds were a sleeping Raccoon in a tree north of the Maintenance Meadow and an Eastern Tailed Blue butterfly in the Meadow.
